Nature's Prayer: a poem

A peachy sky as the sun is rising

Snowdrops thrive and crocus' bloom

The promise of a perfect day

Emerging from the winter's gloom

A hint of blue in a porcelain sky

Warmth in battle with the chill of the breeze

Weak spring sunshine breaking through

Inviting birdsong and the first of the bees

The river swollen, gushing downstream

Blackthorn blooms as winter closes

Robins and blackbirds spring into action

Winter fades as Spring proposes

Wobbly lambs at their mother's udder

The sound of bleating fills the air

Spring is on its way again

Answering nature's silent prayer
